Crew Mission
To provide a professional Wildland Fire Crew that will assist State and National agencies in the response of Emergency Management situations and fuel mitigation projects by organizing a safe, effective, well trained and cohesive Internship Crew.
Crew Vision
By providing competent leadership and proper training, the UFRA crew will enable student interns to apply engaged learning in a safe and effective manner. This will provide the public with a valuable service and the fire service community with a highly trained and educated applicant pool.
Crew Values
The values of the UFRA crew apply to everyone on the crew to help guide individuals in actions taken. These values include:
- Safety - I will safely perform my duties at all times, if a duty cannot be completed safely I will provide safe alternatives and proceed only after a safe alternative has been identified.
- Duty - I will get my job done efficiently and be accountable for my time.
- Respect - I will respect my crewmembers, the members of other crews, members of the community and expect that respect in return.
- Integrity - I will represent the State, the academy, and myself at the highest level possible and expect the same standard from my peers.
- Honesty - I will be truthful and accountable in all my crew dealings.
- Pride - I will take pride in my accomplishments and the accomplishments of the crew.
